At around 0930 i arrived at the east side of leeuwarden AFB. Thankfully the italian eurofightets were not yet airborne. As two of these were parked on the south side, i hoped on a taxi route via rwy 27. However, as i walked to spot 2 i noted many horses in the fields and not an easy walking route to the fence. At the same time an italian eurofighter taxied to the beginning of rwy24 via the runway. As it was parked in the southwest shelter area, and the southeast taxiway still blocked due to removal of open day related materials, it had to taxi this way. I returned to the usual spot along the road.

In the mean time, one of the DARDO flights had to canxel due to technical problems and the remaining three were discussing how ho proceed. Finally the three departed together with four local F16s.

The two-seat hunter departed slightly afterwards for a local flight.

The Jordanian herc was visible from the spottershill on the west side. It is expected to depart on friday.

At 1230 the wave had returned in good weather with lots of sunny spells and i returned home.
