'NAF 50' is starting up at Eindhoven, destination Florennes. We've seen a lot of callsign changes at Eindhoven lately, but I think this is a Fokker 50 of 334 Sqn. Expect it at Florennes roughly between 1015-1030LT.

Regards,

Stephan

One my way back from a glorious visit at Reims on 11/04/2011, a short stop at Florennes allowed me to watch another two aircraft in action on departure for a nighttime mission (departure 21.00 hrs):

F-16AM 2 Wg FA128/- no badge T21:00
F-16AM 2 Wg FA83/FS T21:00

also noted parked in front of a shelter was F-16BM FA08/-no badge in clean configuration.

as Fokker 50 with registration U-06 performed a touch-and-go at Nörvenich today at 10.30 hrs local time, this might have been the same one?

Are you sure about the serial, the FA-08 is scrapped and the FB-08 is in service for the Royal Jordanian Air Force

I was sure, but obviously by mistake  ... possibly FB09? In each case a F-16 dual seat. FA83 and FA128 are fore sure however (even confirmed by SBS-log) :!: ...

The visiting Fokker 50 today was indeed U-06, it was read off at Volkel during some approaches overthere as 'NAF 50'. So, Florennes, Bevekom, Nörvenich, Volkel...this bird's been busy today! 8)

Thanks for the logs - two questions:
- do (some of) the 2 Wing F-16s still wear their FS code on their tails?
- are the unmanned "aircraft" (B-Hunter) also flying missions from/to Florennes?

Hi Richard,

Badly, of the 7 F-16 that I've seen, neither was wearing the FS code on their tail.
Fortunately, I didn't see any B-Hunter flying.
