Grote vertragingen dreigen op luchthaven Brussel

BRUSSEL - Er dreigen de komende dagen grote vertragingen op de luchthaven van Brussel door stakings- en stiptheidsacties bij het bedrijf Flightcare, dat een groot deel van de bagage afhandelt.

Dat meldt Het Laatste Nieuws dinsdag.

Volgens de vakbond BTB-ABVV is de werkdruk bij Flightcare onhoudbaar geworden. "Momenteel zijn er veertig extra vluchten per dag geprogrammeerd, maar er worden geen nieuwe mensen aangenomen om deze vluchten in normale en veilige omstandigheden te verwerken", aldus woordvoerster Sandra Langenus.

"De gevolgen zijn desastreus; zieken, oververmoeid personeel en werknemers die het tempo niet kunnen volgen."
Flightcare handelt 65 procent van de bagage op de luchthaven af. De directie heeft volgens Het Laatste Nieuws aangekondigd "te bekijken welke oplossingen naar voren kunnen worden geschoven".

Zaterdag-ochtend om 05:00 uit Nederland vertrokken en om 07:00 stond ik op de plek bij de tennisbanen op Zaventem-N.
Dit is voor een registratie-spotter als mijzelf een prima plek, ook het landend verkeer op de 25R rijdt ver genoeg door om gelezen te worden.
Voor foto's is dit geen goede plek.

Wel heel erg vreemd trouwens, dat er een tennisclub náást het vliegveld ligt en notabene een BEGRAAFPLAATS aan de kop van de baan... je zou er maar liggen... :-O

In de terminal ook een goed zicht op de platforms, alleen het restaurant (Wingtips) is érg smerig! Ik heb daar niks gegeten, schoonmaken doen ze daar niet...

In Steenokkerzeel bij de ingang van de begraafplaats zijn goed foto's te nemen, als je op tijd bent - je ziet ze pas erg laat achter de bomen vandaan komen.
Aan de andere kant van het dorp ook mooie plekken om de Final 25L te zien.

Al met al twee prima dagen met veel moois... vooral de Jet Airways en de Saudi Cargo bevielen me...
