ALERT: very last flight of a NL Apache AH-64 Delta
Yesterday was the day! The very last flight of a Dutch Apache attack helicopter of the AH-64 Delta type.
The aircraft flew from its long-standing Gilze-Rijen base to Woensdrecht
where it will be dismantled by DMO
and sent to the Boeing factory in Mesa (USA) for the major upgrade.
The end of a successful Apache Delta era was flown by the Apache AH-64D with registration Q-01 ,
the very first also became the very last!
The aircraft with serial number DN-001 was built in 1998 and has therefore been in service for just 25 years.
