CVW-5 EA-18Gs delivered to Atsugi

These airplanes are either due immintently or have just landed in the last few hours.

They shound be 5 EA-18G of VAQ-141 Bu numbers,

166929 NF-500
166930 NF-501
199931 NF-502
166932 NF-503
166933 NF-504

Details of tanker support,etc to follow...........

How long will the Prowlers stay at the station?

We depart next week to Japan for a spotting trip and that probably will be the last chance of seeing an active Prowler...

I think they are more likely:

166928 NF500
166938 NF501
166930 NF502
166931 NF503
166932 NF504
166933 NF505

Can anone confirm when they arrive please?

They did arrive at 24mar12 in two waves of three aircraft.

I've seen reference on a Japanese website to NF-500 being Bu number 168271.Hopefully more to follow on this.

From Japanese sources and HF reports,the arrival data for these jets should be as follows,

24th March

166928 NF-500 EA-18G VAQ-141 Dolly? 51 Flt with 166938 NF-501 and 166930 NF-502.Tanker support KC-135R 60-0349 Fist 04 AFRC,77 ARS 916 ARW to Yokota.Atsugi arrival around 16.45 LT.

25th March

166931 NF-503 EA-18G VAQ-141 with 166932 NF-504 166933 NF-505.Tanker support KC-135R 57-1439 (Fist 02)? AFRC,77 ARS 916 ARW to Yokota.

Point of departure for all these was Wake Island(PWAK).
