Comparing the previous and new pictures, I notice a new antena appearing on the back of the re-sprayed aircraft, behind the cockpit.
So I guess it involved a modernization process also.
32 MiG-29s had a life extension program for 4.000h / 40 years completed in 2013; at the same time
16 MiG-29s had a modernization program (the 23.AB Minsk a/c, meaning 13 A and 3 UB) completed in late 2014
WZL2 where the upgrades were performed mentions MiG-29M as 'type', but I have also seen MiG-29A/UB '93'
The MiG-29M/M2 which was promoted for export by Russian producers are new-builds with fly-by-wire; don't know whether this was retrofitted on the Polish fulcrums
