Radar footage from the Turkish MoD shows the Su-24 circling twice or 3 times over turkish territory (overflying a small "peninsula" or land incursion) before being "taken out".

A spokesman for the Syrian rebel group which claimed to have captured a Russian pilot whose plane was shot down over northwestern Syria says he was dead upon landing, AP reports.

"Jahed Ahmad of the 10th Brigade in the Coast said that the two Russian crew members tried to land in their parachutes in government-held areas after they ejected, but came under fire from members of his group.

He adds that rebels shot one of the pilots, who landed dead on the ground on Tuesday.

The fate of the second pilot was not immediately known.

The group released a video showing gunmen standing around a blond pilot whose face was bruised and appeared dead."

I do not think 5 minutes a 10x warned the Turks in the Su-24 crews. 5 minutes over 50km was doing well in the Russian bombers. The Turks confessed that it was only 1-2 minutes Turkish airspace. He also admitted that he was shot over Syria when AIM-9-by, then Turkey violated the Syrian airspace. (as the RF-4 Phantom shooting down too.)
The Russians have two days more than 500 Turkish Fuel car bombing in Syria apart because of Isil from the Syrian and Turkish companies smuggled Iraqi oil.

One thing is sure... the Turkish are playing the game by own rules... and bring the whole situation in more danger then already is.

We've all heard the "rumours" that Turkey buys oil from IS.
Now imagine the "peculiar flavour", if it turns out that the Su-24 happened to be involved in bombing IS' oilwells

Regardless whether they were on our side or not, I feel sorry for the pilots and their families. Especially if they were shot after ejecting. Shooting defenseless pilots while hanging from their chutes is barbarian....

It is not rumours. Former agencies agents stated these facts on TV, after what happened in Paris...
IS sells 3 millions USD of gas per day to Turkish "companies"!!
And we all use it in our cars, because there is no tracability...
