ICELANDAIR

Post by YS11 »

Due to the expansion of Icelandair (FI)'s route network, the company will deploy 16 aircraft in its operations in the summer 2012, as compared to 14 aircraft in the summer of 2011. Contracts have been finalised for 2 B757-200 that will join the FI fleet in the coming months. One of the aircraft was purchased, while the other has been leased for a term of 20 months. The purchase price was paid for with FI Group's own cash, and the purchase price is confidential. Both aircraft will undergo the usual modification process by FI to meet the company's standards, prior to being taken into use. They should be ready for use in FI's route network in May 2012. (AirTransportNews, April02nd 2012).

TF-ISL MSN25295 thus is ex-American AL and stored since 08/2011. Nice addition to the European scene.
