During an airshow at Lilinghof, 35 km NE of Nürnberg, well-known DH.82A Tiger Moth D-EBKT crashed into the public area today. According to German TV the aircraft, regular participant in the DH82A formation teams, went out of control during take-off and ended up in the audience. Unfortunately, one person on the ground was killed and at least 20 injured, five of them seriously. Luckily, there was no fire evident in TV-coverage. The pilot was okay, the Tiger Moth looks set for a serious restoration.
