PH-KLI LI-017

Gents,

Stored KLM F100 PH-KLI has LI-017 on its nose door.
What's the purpose of '017' , .........fleet number?

Hallo,

Fleetnumber and also often called "maintenance number"... Starting with the last 2 marks of the registation, followed by three digits indicating (in sequence) the "place in the row" of a type. Just 3 for example: Boeing 777-206ER PH-BQA has "QA-001" on it's nosewheeldoors and it's the first and PH-BQC with "QC-003" is the third 777 with KLM. Boeing 747-406 PH-BFA carries "FA-001" and it's the first 747-406 of the queue.

So your PH-KLI "LI-017" is KLM F100 #17...

So your PH-KLI "LI-017" is KLM F100 #17...

Nice thinking but not true. It is the effectifity code of the maintenance manual. You can only maintain this aircraft according the manual with effectifity code 017

Maybe interesting to know, the numbers on the E190 nosewheel-doors are actually construction-numbers, hence the high (>300) numbers...
