KLM plane hits balloon during landing in Guarulhos and runway needs to be closed

A KLM plane ended up hitting a balloon while landing this evening at Guarulhos International Airport, Sao Paulo.
The collision involved the Boeing 777-300ER with registration number PH-BVW,
which was landing from Amsterdam on the company's daily flight KL-791 from the Netherlands.
Shortly after landing, when leaving the runway,
the pilot informed the control tower that
“for your information, we hit several balloons at an altitude of 500 feet (150 m)” .
Then, the controller asked KLM to confirm the information and the pilot detailed:
“We flew by at least 3 balloons
and 1 of them definitely flew into our right engine.”
As a precautionary measure, an inspection was initiated on the runway
and Latam flights LA-3355, coming from Salvador,
and LA-750, coming from Santiago de Chile,
had to turn around while runway 10R was inspected.
The GOL G3-1083 flight was directed to the parallel runway, 10L, and landed without any problems.
The release of balloons in Brazil is a crime against air safety,
but the practice is recurrent, especially in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro,
the two busiest terminals in the country,
often involving criminal factions,
who consider “art” an attack that could kill several people and generate fires.
