Reports are unclear but a report on Facebook is saying that the aircraft rolled into an adjacent building causing significant damage to the horizontal stabiliser.

It is understood that there was no one on board at the time and no injuries have been reported. I'm not sure if that refers to no passengers on board or if there was no crew also.

Ground staff were on strike today in ciampino. No pax, no crew, no ground staff onboard or around.

You can safely add "no chocks, no parking brake" to that list of "no's" imho...

Parking brake set is part off the checklist but the memo from today says make sure chocks are in place.

Hm, I think Ryanair needs to add "no chocks in place and travelling over 40 meters - € 200.000" to the following list: http://www.ryanair.com/en/terms-and-con ... bleoffees/

What would the cost of purchasing a right-hand stabiliser :?:

This Boeing 737-800 is probably not a write-off, but I suppose repairs will not come that cheap.

A few years ago Arke 767 PHAHQ lost a part of her wing (about 2 meters). Age of aircraft was 18 years at that moment and is also repaired. So probably not a written off. (In economic way maybe it is)

As far as i have understood several threads about his, it depends on hidden structural damage.

I assume a team from Boeing will go and check ?
