Hi EOS, did the SR ever come back? It carried a centreline tank on the afternoon flight and we did not see it return (had to leave around 4 when it was already away for 3 hours at least)..

What time did the Cambrai Mirage come in?

Thanks!

As mentioned by Wim in the second post of this topic, Reims normally has no flying activities on Fridays. You better pick another day..

Both Good Friday and Easter Monday are public holidays in France so definetely the B's won't fly neither won't the single-seaters for ordinary sorties I guess. However, you could expect occasional arrivals from Solenzara for crews that will spend the Easter weekend with their families (and others departing to replace them?).

Last Monday was not particularly busy though so it could be a long wait or even an entire wasted effort.. Only 1 arrival from Solenzara (I assume) on the 18th (the NX).

Good luck!

Well it looks like the planned move of the duals (mid-April) is postponed, so it could be the Libya operations have halted all other non-critical activities for now and the F1s stay at Reims a bit longer. Just speculation though, but I doubt that the squadron can maintain presence at 2 airbases (Reims and Solenzara) while at the same time embark on the move to MdM.. "Geluk bij een ongeluk"?

Maybe a stupid question, but is there normally any difference between a tuesday and a thursday in flying activity, flyinghours or what so ever?

Hope to hear something,

Thanx..

Both days are supposed to have nightflying regularly. But in the past this did not seem to result in a decrease in morning activities. At the moment it is all a bit irregular and unpredictable though. Just go with an open mind, enjoy and don't get too hung up on quantities.. Now is the time to catch them in odd configurations like the Colmar centreline "whale" tank or even 3 droptanks for ferryflights to/from Zara.

Normally Thursday is nightflying day at Reims, Monday, Tuesday and Wednessday should be the best days to go. Friday is a non flying day. The F-1B's will remain at Reims untill the end of May, the other F-1's will stay at Reims untill the end of June

Hi Wim, good intel! What's your source? We were at Reims a few times recently and even for the locals it was all up in the air it seemed. End of May would be a convenient date for us!

Thnx

PS Tuesday normally is also available for evening operations.
