Saint-Dizier (LFSI) - 2009 MIL

Post by r.e.hendriks »

Hi all,

went to France this week. Here's a small log of what we saw at St.Dizier.
Unfortunately this didn't fly as good as we hoped for.

29-05-2009
locals
308/113-HA Rafale B
315/113-HK Rafale B
319/113-HN Rafale B
335/113-IJ Rafale B
2x Rafale B (didn't come back before closing time, maybe to an airshow??)

visitors
661/133-XI Mirage 2000D l/a
1x Mirage 2000D l/a
1x Alpha Jet E x-er

preserved/stored near aeroclub
158/43-BO MH.1521M
318 Mirage IIIR

preserved on base
61/CH Mirage IV
1x Jaguar (both noted from the aeroclub, the Jag was parked close to the Mirage IV, anyone??)

gateguards
28897/1-PA F-84F marked as"29094"
16/AO Mirage IVA

That's all for now....we were pretty disappointed about the amount of flying Rafales.
Does anyone have any info on the two missing Rafales?
Can someone tell me which Jaguar is parked close to the Mirage IV, mentioned above?

Any additions/corrections are always welcome.

Best regards, Rob.

PS. Pictures will follow later..........

Both missing Rafales are:

both from EC 01.091

Were you also present at St.Dizier that day?

Best regards, Rob.

Hi all,

Quick dirty log from St. Dizier today. Been there from 13:00 till 18:30 and I do hope that it ain't gonna rain tonight because there are no tiles left on the roofs!!! Because of the meeting international at Reims coming weekend some local Mirages are temporarily based at St Dizier. And together with the Rafales they fly a lot! The Mirages fly a lot of missions, mostly together and in different configs. F-1B + F-1CR, F-1CR+F-1CT etc. Nice to see and the Rafales really top it off!

Visitors:
Alpha Jet E151/2-FD
M2000D 605/133-LF EC 02.003 / SPA 102 badge.....ex Djibouti based?
M2000D 635/133-AS EC 01.003 badge

Temp. based
F-1B 517/112-SC, 502/112-SW
F-1CR 616/112-NX, 642/112-CG, 650/112-NZ, 656/112-CB, 653/112-CV, .../112-CS, .../112-CG
F-1CT 278/112-SG, 226/112-QS, .../112-QT

Locals:
310/113-HC, 327/113-HZ, 104/113-HH, 319/113-HN, 321/113-HQ, 320/113-HV, 326/113-HY

Plus many more aircraft, but have to check the pictures to be sure of the serials and the codes.

Cheers,

Are they visible from outside, or are there shelters enough for them?

If not, it's worth a detour after the Reims Airshow.

thanks in advance,

Michel

There are 16 Mirage F1's at St Dizier, all parked on the Main Ramp. So they should be visible from outside. They are there till june 30th, not sure they depart the same day or july 1st.

DJ

I think you mean at St Dizier instead of Reims.

I visited St Dizier last night (Friday) about 9pm and there was nothing visible other than the preserved Jaguar so I suspect that the Mirages have been hangared for the weekend!
