Lorient/Lann-Bihoué (LFRH/LRT) - 2008

Next week I'm going to Carnac (france) for my holiday. Now Carnac is close to St. Lorient I was planned to go and take some Photo's of the E-2 and Atlantiqué's. Now I'm wondering what are the regular flight times and what are the best spottersplace's to take pictures.

It is not the best base to make pictures. at the civil airport you can make some pictures at the Taxi way, and in the landing on one side you can stay. It is not possible to see the ramps off the Atla's and E2's. Be advised 2x E2 are in the USA and 1x E2 is in Africa. so hope you can seee number 4. Normally no much activity at this base.

Been there 29-7 from approx 10 till 14.30 result:
C-130H CH-10 dep.
M2000C 57/2-ET landing
Xingu ? dep
M2000C ? dep

When in Lorient (the submarine bunkers) on 31/7 I saw at 11.30 a ATLA doing some circuits and at 15.30 again one ATLA.

You can stand on both sides for pictures

If you have the time go to Lanveoc, it's ca 1,5 hour drive from Lorient lot more activety, only problem..those helicopters come and go from evrywhere Hope this is some help
