Thank you falcon, I remember when a lot of them were in Aviano in the '99, someone were very difficult to identified due to thier very dirty paint!

the prowlers depart this morning at 08.05 lajes time, support is a KC-10 and a C-17. no serials of the supporters and don't know where they heading to....

Looks really like the five VMAQ-4 Prowlers are on their way for a six-month OIF deployment to Al Asad AB, Iraq, to replace the Detachment from VMAQ-2 (which previously replaced a Detachment from VMAQ-1). Thanks for serial number identification, Sandro! These Prowlers are on their way back home to CONUS after an OIF deployment at Al Asad Airfield in Iraq. During this deployment, USMC only released online news photos of tactical numbers 01, 02 and 03 - but without readable serial numbers. And as already posted above, the VMAQ-2 Detachment was replaced by the VMAQ-4 Detachment.

Some news again from Lajes,

tomorrow 12th the base is expecting 4 F-16's

on 25th, the base is expecting 12 F-18's, most probably USMC one's

:shock: :shock:

p.s. the 2 Pakistan F-16's are still in Lajes !!

Hi,

Can you confirm the 2 polish are still there as well?

I knew the base was expecting 4 Polish this month, but originally they were expected late feb. But could be the ones for tomorrow are these ones.......?

Don't know, latest news that i got was that only 2 vipers where seen on the concrete, and those where the 2 pakistanies.

And about the 4 vipers for tomorrow, personally i think it will be polish one's but it can also be USAF one's.........

time will tell..........
