Zagreb airports 21.07.2023

Post by Mr AMARC »

Hi all,

A slim report from Zagreb. Family holiday, not especially prepared to be honest, I just stopepd at the known spots at Lucko, Pleso and Velika Gorica.

Lucko:
1st surprise here, as no Mi.8/17 was visible. Construction work is going on, also thunderstorms were around. Looking from the civile airport, the nearby tree school, as well as from student 1 and student 2 streets, the only thing I noted was the derelict Mi.26.

Pleso:
A short stop at the entrance to the terminal allowed looking into the hangars. A number of open gaps in the hangar doors, several helicopters visible inside, Mi.8/17 and possibly H-60s, no serial caught though. I didn't recognize any MiG in there.
The 2 An.32 are still parked as visible on google earth, still with full markings and serials, surrounded by 2 MiG.21 and a bunch of Mi.8/17.
Looking from the roundabout near the AN.32s only the rear of a MiG was visible, no serial visible, no idea whether single or 2-seat.
Walking up from the other side (45.73685268070534, 16.0715314192204) the 2nd MiG was stuck between the parked Mi's, again no idea even whether single- or 2-seat. The only Mi.8 fully visible had serial and national insignia removed.
A zero result again, leaving the An.32 aside.

Velika Gorica:
At least some result here. In the left hangar CL.415 855, in the iddle one Mi.171Sh 229 + one, as well as Macedonian AT-802AFs Z3-BGT and BGV, right hangar no aircraft.
