Ambérieu-en-Bugey arrival?

Post by planefixer »

While watching today's stage [18] of the Tour-de-France on the TV the cyclists went past [R88]/61-ZF C-160R fuselage on a low loader by the side of the road some 28.5Km from the end of the stage. Could of course been heading for anywhere but was on a pretty minor road, so I'm guessing was close to destination? Looking at a map about the closest location to there is Ambérieu-en-Bugey, so can anyone confirm that was where it was heading?

Epernay is nowhere near where it was spotted on the TdF and neither was the expected route from Evreux - does anyone have any more info?

The fuselage was (maybe) placed there as eye catcher. On the other side of the road was what looked like a firm specialist in transport of oversized cargo.
Tried to find the location, but no success. :|
