Madrid-Getafe (LEGT) 2019

Post by Starman »

As usual 6 MRTTs outside this week, although a 7th, M1, was due from Madrid Barajas via Toulouse last night.
They are 762, 763 & G5/MRTT037 to become 764 all Singapore AF
F2 (to become 042 Adel'A)
The 7th Australian, an ex QANTAS a/c with various mods MRTT 040 to become A39-007
A primer a/c with no boom nor "tail code" - the recently arrived M2.

Flying Wednesday & Thursday (at least) was Typhoon C-16.20/IPA4/11.91
Testflying Wednesday was long term resident A-400M 007/FRBAA
Locals flying were SAR C235 T19B-14/D.4-08 & King Air 409.30/E.22-01 "Panda11"

Views may be restricted in future with the building of extra hangars (oh and the train from Barajas is 3euros 10 now)

CN235 T19A-02/403-02 and Citation TR.20-01/403-11 were up as well; they were logged at Moron on wednesday together with Panda 11.

Good Afternoon,

Can anybody please identify the A330MRTT which arrived yesterday afternoon as AED354 from Toulouse- This was seen clearly from the Marriott Auditorium at Barajas Airport.

Hi José,

Can you confirm this is correct - We arrived on the afternoon of the 14th on the LH1802 from Munich @ 14:35hrs local time ( We didn’t see this aircraft depart from Barajas ) and this is the aircraft that a arrived into Getafe the same afternoon ?

I’m sure you are right but I just want to confirm.

No, in that case we are talking about different units. This plane took off Barajas about 11:00 on the 14th, flew to Toulouse making some ILS and other tests and flew back, this time to Getafe arriving at 16:00 or so. Allways on the 14th. I will try to find if there is another MRTT in maintenance that has ben out of the hangar in the moment you arrived. Keep connected.

OK, lets clear the mess. The one you saw at Barajas was RAAF5 that is almost finishing maintenance works and soon will be replaced by a Saudi one.

Hi José / Starman,

Can you please clarify when you get a minute the A330MRTT outside at Barajas if it has an EC- registration and also the c/n if possible - It is much appreciated.
