Colmenar-Viejo (LECV) MIL-2014

Post by frank kramer »

Given the fact that a lot of people visited this place in the days surrounding Torrejon Airshow, I was wondering if someone has additions or could fill the gaps in this small log from the platforms;

09-10:
HT.17-02/ET-402, HT.17-03/ET-403, HT.17-18/ET-418 Chinooks +1
HE.26-05/ET-183 EC135T2+ camo +1
HU.26-11/ET-197 EC135P2+ UME (yellow/red c/s)

Code: Select all

HU.10-34/ET-214, HU.10-36/ET-216 UH-1H (operational)
HU.10-31/ET-211, HU.10-73/ET-243 UH-1H stored +2 [identified in the post below]
HA.15-33/ET-302 Bo105 stored
According to the SCR database, ET-211 and ET-243 are supposed to be stored at Logrono/Algoncillo, but apparently they are not (anymore).

12-10:
While we were happily doing our thing on a nice sunday afternoon, the guards showed up. Because they could not tell for sure whether we were 'just' logging serials (which they didn't mind) or taking pictures 'across the fence' (which they DID mind), they told us to leave... which we did. That means two EC135's remained unidentified for us. Anyone? Apart from the gate guards and the Hueys/Bo105, we logged:

HT.17-02/ET-402, HT.17-03/ET-403, HT.17-05/ET-405, HT.17-06/ET-406, HT.17-07/ET-407, HT.17-10/ET-410, HT.17-14/ET-414, HT.17-17/ET-417, HT.17-18/ET-418 Chinooks
HE.26-25/ET-189 EC135T2+ camo +1
HU.26-07/ET-195 EC135P2+ UME c/s +1 which was HU.26-11/ET-197 (addition thanks to Herky)

One more stored UH-1H is HU.10-46/ET-220.

Thanx! The one missing is obviously the one with the faded paint scheme and it's nose hatch cover missing... so no large number there

The fourth stored one is logged during a base visit a few days earlier as HU.10-49/ET-223

Frank, I have a missing EC135 for you on the Sunday: HU.26-11/ET-197 EC-135P
We were able to read/photograph everything before we also were orded to leave by the guards. No problem...

BTW Your log on the 9th has or the wrong code or the wrong serial (HU.26-11/ET-195).

Spanish serials seem to generate a lot of typo's...

ET-417 of course is HT.17-17, not HT.10

Thanks for the addition!

And I beg to differ on one of the Chinooks. I have photoproof of all 9 CH-47D's I logged in my first post, and while I did NOT see/photograph ET-415, I DID see&photograph ET-418 (old colours, covers on nose and engines). It was standing behind ET-407 (which was in new colours).

Hi Arie,

I also have ET-418
I do not have ET-415

Can anyone check this?
Edit: Well Frank did, I should read all posts

There were 5 EC.135 (3 green /2 yellow)
So far I have
HU.26-07/ET-195 Read myself
HU.26-11/ET-197 See Herky above
HE.26-25/ET-189 See Herky above

I also have from another log
HE.26-02/ET-180 can anyone confirm this one

So there was one more. Anyone?

Pieter

I have checked my pics and indeed the 418 was also there. I thought I had wrote it in my list, not....

Edit: I think I mistake 418 with 415?

As per Franks report for the 9th, we had ET-183 there on the 10th. Also ET-189, ET-195, ET-197 plus one more unread (too straight on a view from the 'rocks').
