Goodday,
This August I went to the midwest ("Non-spotting" holiday in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebreska, South-Dakota, Montana, Idaho and Utah) and afterwards Iceland (we flew AMS-KEF-DEN-KEF-AMS) on Icelandair of course.
So, we started in Denver and drove up to Cheyenne where I took some pictures of the gateguards and flying Herc's (too bad quality tough)

Then we drove up to Rapid City, to see Mt. Rushmore, and Ellsworth A.F.B.'s museum:

A BAe 146 as firefighter at Missoulla airport, I also saw a Neptune waterbomber but again the quality is too bad to show here.

After Yellowstone we went to Salt Lake City but before that we made a stop at Ogden to do a helicopter flight and visited Hill A.F.B.'s museum:

After visiting Moab we went to Grand Junction, CO. Where I did a flight in a Piper Cub of the Commemorative air force (CAF). It's a very nice organisation which got a lot of aircraft flying and static around the U.S. Most of the CAF divisions offer flights in one of their aircraft, for not too much money. Here's a little impression of the flight:
