Great shots. Two questions:
- From where did you take the take-off shots? Hotelroom??
- Are the terraces still open (I visited CCS in the Nineties). No problem then...

TIA and brgds, Peter

Hello Peter,

I spent some time in an appartment building eastern side of the airport with some local spotters. A little bit too far away from the airport and main runway for photographing but you can see all movements. The terrace you have been (lucky lucky you) is still there but closed for a couple of years now. There are no designated spotting areas around the airport. Even the restaurant beside the terrace is closed since early 2012. So you understand that local spotters are very frustrated. You must have seen some very interrsting planes in the nineties in good conditions.

There is a pedestrian bridge over Av. La Atlantida, about 500 m east of the baseball stadium at the approach end of RWY10. When you are on that bridge a 737-200 is about 250 mmm analogue when taken side on. Angle would be about 30 deg, so not too bad. The issue is, the area is a bit dodgy, though the fair amount of people - shoppers mostly - would make an assault unlikely. Was there for 3,5 hours last year and never had any problems, but kept a low profile: old camera out & in a shopping bag. Only use when needed. Suerte y saludos.
