Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Ramstein MIL 3-1-13

Post by Ergo01 »

For those uninterested in low quality unsunny and/or infra pictures, please refrain from looking.
At Ramstein there is always things to see, even when the weather is bad.
1. Just after parking the car at 0815 a C-5M came in.
2. We had to hurry to see this interesting C-130H. Too cold to hold the camera still or was it the heartbeat?
3. A tanker departed, no doubt present due to the Hall being closed.
4. Not long afterwards a KC-10 departed.
5. Not much AMC traffic, this old C-17 arrived around midday.
6. We hoped the Aussie C-17 would depart, but no luck on this one.
In the afternoon an Alaska tanker landed (took it on slide) and a beautiful blue stateside C-40 (too far away).
All in all we were content to have braved the weather.

Well, at least you saw aircraft. We were there once and there was so much mist, that you could only hear aircraft coming in and taking off.
