Geilenkirchen ETNG 16-08-2012

Post by Snipes »

Was at Geilenkirchen for a few hours, because I was on vacation nearby. A KC-135 just came in when I started the car to go away  . So just some private Cessna's and a German Navy P-3C. I caught the E-3 on my way back and pulled over to photograph it.

Hi Wesley,

do you have a picture of the P-3 with the serial visible??
We are still looking for the identity of this P-3.

MTIA on behalf of the local spotters.

Second Orion shot shows 01 in the right nose wheel door, which would make it 60+01?

That's what I noticed as well, but looking for some confirmation.
60+01 visited GK the day before (as well), but it's mode S appears to be inop.

So you think the 01 in the nosewheel door is less reliable as his mode-S report ?

No, sorry, was standing at the wrong spot with too much mm's...But it could be the 01 as it was present at Büchel also that morning.
