ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Düsseldorf EDDL 24/7/2012

Post by Polecat »

Hi,
finally my day off coincided with a suny day, so I went to Düssy. Not much 'special' hapening unfortunately, but still a good chance to get some sunny shots. In the end, almost without noticing, I ended up with 25 new airframes so no bad score at all!

1 Even a regular Air Berlin Boeing 737 make a nice pic in circumstances like these..
Image

2 A Mad Dog a day keeps the doctor away! Bulgarian noise-maker LZ-LDC makes an early departure.
Image

3 Quite a few Bizjets, Challenger 300 HB-JFM is operated by Bosch/Scintilla AG so I helped pay for this beauty by buying my electric powerdrill :-)

Image

4 Austrian Fokker 70 OE-LFH. Fokkers are really becoming an endangered species at Düsseldorf now that Contact Air alledgedly is close to stopping operations.
Image

5 Just a nice landingshot of one of Lufthansa's biggest assets at DUS, A-340.
Image

6 I wonder if this scene can still be seen 6 months from now. Austrian is reorganising heavily and struggling for its survival, Niki will be absorbed in the Air Berlin Group...
Image

7 A day at DUS always gets you some nize Bizjets, Falcon 50EX D-BETI is operated by Adolf Würth GmbH
Image

8 Gulf IV-SP N333PY registered to Perry Capital LLC from New York

Image

9 I found this one quite nice, DHMI (Turkish Airport Authorities) operates this Ce-560XLS TC-LAD.
Image

10 Still going strong, BritAir continues to operate CRJ-100's like this F-GRJM
Image

11 FlyBe has replaced the DHC-8 on the DUS-route by Electric Jets, I don't mind as I think these look really neat.
Image

12 SAS at Düsseldorf can be anything, 736, MD or CRJ900 like this OY-KFF
Image

13 Air Nostrum/Iberia even has a longer one.... CRJ1000 EC-LOY just before touchdown.
Image

14 Suny weather really makes Etihad aircraft shine! A-330-343X A6-AFD starts its take-off roll.

Image

15 Since one month Hamburg Airways operates this A-320 D-AHHE. Delivered to US Airways in 1999, it later went to United Eagle Airways and Chengdu Airlines.
Image

16 Much newer brother/sister D-AHHC, a former Iberworld aircraft. Hamburg Airways had to change their old tail-logo after complaints by Cathay pacific, this is the new version.

Image

17 CS-TNV, a relatively new TAP A-320-214 taxies in.
Image

18 Holiday Traffic! No less than 5 yellow TUI-fly boeings were seen, many looking very freshly painted (returning from lease probably)
Image

19 Baltic Dash-8 trying to save the left wheel's rubber..

Image

20 Backlit Turkish A-319, first time I ever saw one of these, but after 10 hours in the burning sun I was to lazy to drive to the other photospots on the other side of the runway :-)

Great pics Noddy! The two Austrians captured in one image is my favorite, closely followed by the Hamburg Airways in it's new livery.

Greatings from a sunny and warm Cucuron,
