Great shots! As Pieter mentioned the night shots are indeed very nice
Man, I'm still blaming myself for not doing some proper spotting at LAX :P
Cheers,
Gideon

The lighting on the Air Pacific 744 is stunning. Well done.

Great Pics!
Isn't this an idea for Schiphol? Pics from a helicopter near the Kaagbaan? Schiphol/ATC-people, is this possible/allowed?

Grtz, Edel.

Nice to see the A380 with the IN-N-OUT in the background 8) , the park in front is also a nice spot to photograph the aircraft in landing.
Is it not difficult to get permission to fly over the airport while to runway you are flying along is active :?:

Yes from a helicopter..
*Through the window? Or did the helicopter fly with open door/window?
*How many mm did you use?
*How long lasted your helicopter ride?
*How many aircraft did you photograph?
*No problems with vibration?

1. The door was removed before take-off (Helicopter type: R22)
2. It really depends on the angle.
KLM 744: 100mm
SIA 380: 340mm
KE 380: 220mm
UA 777: 340mm
-> It makes more sense to fly over the terminal area (with 1500ft) then southern of the runways (500ft)
3. About 1.5 hours
4. 42 aircraft in action + a few parked ones / overview shots
5. Yes and no  . Actually there were no vibrations but the wind (i.e. if your flying with 50kn) is very disturbing.

@Thermal: Yes there are many shots left.. And you will be able to see them in this topic :D
