Always great to see those classics at OPF. How is acces there? Do you need to get ramp acces or can everything be seen from outside the field?

I'd love to go visit this airport some time! :) I am curious though, like ErwinS, how did you get these shots? A lot of them look like you were just walking around on the apron?

Apart from the "regular" propliners and smokeliners (and Jetstars...) some interesting "Ruski's" as well! :)

Yep, I was airside although a lot of these birds can be shot from the otherside of the fence like the Aserca.
Nowadays getting airside is quite difficult compared to 10-15 yrs ago and apart from that I was informed by the dep. Airport Manager that before end 2012 all the stored aircraft should be dismantled... we'll see...

Scrapping on the Dominicana DC9 already already has started according news from the local Miami people.
Here is a list of the aircraft to be scrapped soon at OPF: N727PL B727-200 Platinum, UR-46838 An24 Medair, N696CA B727-200, N49115 HU16E Navy c/s, N697CA B727-200 Champion Air, 2 small aircraft parked in front of Champion Air, N190CS G-1159, N927RC DC-9 ex NWA and N919RW DC-9 Dominicana and N400RG B727 MBI. (credit Ger Buskermolen) Unconfirmed sources believe that the scrappinglist could contain up to 22 frames at OPF

So if you don't have them by now...
