Question: 2 clean F-15 arr Lakenheath 30.03.2010...

Post by USAFE »

Hi all,

a local guy told us, that nothing departed this afternoon, so it´s a waste of time to wait in the approach.
Some 30 minutes later a 2-ship formation arrived. Both had travelpods under the wings and no squadron markings on their fin. On a 100% view, I can see, that all 4 aircrew have the 4th FW patch, which is Seymour Johnson AFB, NC, on.
So where have they been to? Ferry from the US?

Any comments would be more than welcome.

Cheers,
Johnny

Probably back from maintenance in the US, hence the new paint job.
Answers will be questioned.....

91-0316 was noted at Mildenhall on the 27th July in full 492nd FS markings and 00-3000 was on strength with the 494th recently. They could be getting ready to head west for servicing.

The badges on the intakes confirm their squadron allocation as per Dinger's post.
