ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Sunset departures Gilze-Rijen 22,23,24 march 2011

Post by bvdboomen »

This week the flying in the evening was a bit disappointing. We had only one good departure: today. Unfortunately the sun didn't corporate. Now they stop evening flying for the season so it was a last chance to get something.

1. The light conditions were great most of the days.
Image

2. And yes, they were flying...
Image

3. This is what we saw most of the days.
Image

4. Enough time to try other angles.
Image

5. Finally, on the last day, they wend out.
Image

6. And how they did! It was crowded on the heading of runway 28.
Image

7. And off they go for the last time this season.

Nice shots...a pitty the t/off was set for 0700pm local. Anyway, we could at least capture 4 Apaches and 1 Cougar going airborne.

zapata742, while the compositions are very good, your pictures suffer a lot from noise due to shadow/highlight.
I would like to see them without the shadow/highlight. I think they would be awesome then.
