Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

If you're still curious, check out this little movie I shot: http://youtu.be/LjBbPP3tpkE :roll:
Thanks for sharing Marco, that's the pleasing J-79 sound indeed. Too bad it never howls when in (near-)idle power... :wink: Although it looks to me like Kfirs have the later-generation elongated nozzles that don't produce the characteristic howling. But hey, the taxiing-sound is enjoyable just the same!

Oh, by the way, I notice a lot of "remove before flight"-labels hanging from the aircraft. Were those pins put in after landing, or did this bird never take off that day?

(Must have been quite an experience over there!)

Regards,

Stephan
Hi Stephan,

It flew, as Patrick has shown on the previous page;

The Kfir C2 is equiped with a different J79 than the (T)F-104G, hence the difference in sound/howl.

• the F7 (or J7) is indeedie newer then the F13 but as I understood some of them are already more then 30 years old…. So they are ageing.
Hi,

As a matter of fact the F-7GS are only three years old so rather state of the art! These are the aircraft with serials SFI-1504 / SFI-1508. The BS models are somewhat older but also only delivered in 1991 but less advanced than the GS models. The BS' are registered SFI-1501 / SFI-1503.

Although I like every photo I see from this country (to say the least...) I still hope we are not about to see 20+ duplicates from each trip member!
