Well, Yorick, you are reallly getting better and better, well done! I love the first and 3rd very much! Your post processing is looking good as well. Hats off to you!

Dr. T, some interesting angles but you really have to check on your post processing because your pictures (sadly, all of them) look very unnatural and some how to much highlights and to much contrast.. If you can fix that i’m sure they will look great :)

Thanks for the feedback Andras, but can't realy place it.

I did not do any editing to em (sharpen a wee-bit, but thats it) or use any "strange" settings

I made the pictures while my car was still moving in the parkinglot, so it was a bit of a rush.
The light was pretty difficult as u can see by the lighting.

Any suggest on what excactly to change??

Cheers

Hey Dr T,

Well, that is interesting. Your pictures have extreme highlights and very dark shadows. Also the final JPG looks really jaggy. (Shot in JPG or do you use RAW? ) I guess you only shoot JPG right? Can you tell me which program you use to do your editing in? And which settings / actions did you do? What gear and EXIF info would be good to know also, although not really necessary. If you provide this info it’s easier to find a solution.

I know i have a calibrated monitor so i ask if anyone else sees the same as i do... Yoricks pictures look normal to me, so check on your monitor how they compare to yours...

Hey Andras

I used:

Camera Model Canon EOS 50D
Shooting Mode Aperture-Priority AE
Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/1250
Av( Aperture Value ) 8.0
Exposure Compensation 0
ISO Speed 160
Lens EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM
Image Quality RAW
White Balance Mode Auto
AF Mode AI Servo AF

Than put the pics in Canon Digital Professional and converted em with only 2 steps sharp to JPG.
My only fail is i'm collorblind as a bad. Long story  but thats why i hate fideling around with settings.

I will take a look @ Yorik his exifs.

Could it be the way Flickr reedits your pics when uploading????

Thanks anyway.

Cheers

Dr. T, Did you shoot in manual mode or automatic ? Just wondering why you picked up these settings.

Another thing : how did you set your AF system (single point, multi-point, zone, spot ...) ? That could have an impact on the whole picture.

Hi Dr T,

Okay, that is good info. I am surprised you get this result with the gear you used. (You could drop the shutterspeed to about 1/125 or even lower to really get a nice rotor blur but that is not an issue ATM)

I dunno if your colorblindness has got anything to do with it, but did you use a picture style in DPP? Or do you have a setting applied in your camera? (which should not be an issue because the camera overules the settings since you shot in RAW)

My guess is that you somehow hit a wrong button in DPP and with exporting as a JPG some setting is set incorrectly, you should be able to produce excellent JPG to show here..
Again, i don’t know how you experience the colorblindness so that maybe a factor, but i can’t say anything about that really..

I’ll send you a PM
