Very nice! Great angles and compo's, too bad they are a bit too small for my taste but some awesome work! 28 my favorite!

Wow!!!

Awesome shots!
Probably one of the best sets I've seen from Axalp the last few years!

What camera gear did you use?? Can't be anything different than Canon....

Best regards Rob

Well, couple of'em is quite cropped (down to ~1300px wide), but normally I should be able to pull an A4 out of most ;-)

For once, it's not a show-off of the 500/4IS, but rather (mostly) 300/2.8IS with a TCx2. But next time, I'll be taking the 500 there :-)

It's worth the walk to the other side... How about it.. is it as the walk up the hill on the other side?

Yep, walk to the other side is roughly same as the walk to the other side ;) Seriously: needs not as much stamina as Wildgarst hike, but it's at times more tricky technically. See here, I wrote it all there and planning to update soon. :)

Heavy on photos maybe, but never TOO heavy with these kind of selections!! 8) This is one of the most impressive reports I've seen this year here at this forum. Very VERY nice!!!! The scenery-shots without aircraft are a big plus as well, great way to show us the whole experience!

Best regards,

Stephan

Very impressive shots!! I skipped Axalp a few years in a row now but this really makes me wanna go back again! Strange to see these Eurocopters in stead of the Alouettes, have to get used to the 'new' types...

Yep, many people were saying this. Year or two ago, we were used to EC635 having a special appearance and Alouettes doing the dirty job. This year, suddenly the roles inverted ;)
