Gilze-Rijen EHGR 25-11-2010 Photo

Post by Tyno »

Today (25-11-2010) 3 Apache of the Dutch Airforce were brough back after the end of dutch mission in Afganistan. These helicopters were transported with an Antonov 124. In this case it was the UR-82008 from the Antonov Design Bureau.

After the AN124 in Gilze I moved to Eindhoven. I looks like I left too early as there were some helicopter movements later the day. Unfortunatly the weather was much worse over there. In 2 hours I saw 3 military movements:

departure of this one:

And arrival of these 2 hercs:

I hope you like them

Great shots from both Gilze and Eindhoven. A good thing there are signs at Gilze that say ' danger ' when an Antonov touches down! :D

@Win, You also got some very nice shot.

The shot of the plane crossing the road is 24 mm, the rest is with a 500 mm. But with a 70-300 / 70-200 you can also shoot some great shots. I was surprised how close you can get (aprox. 10-15 m from the beginning of the 10-28 runway).
