Volkel EHVK 12-08-2010 busy day

Volkel EHVK 12-08-2010 busy day

On august the 12th, it was a busy day at Volkel. Not only with movements but also with public. We had a non-stop show from appr. 9.30h till 16.30h.

1. One of the nice visitors did some pretty moves on the runway.

2. This Belgian surprised us because we had not radio on our -then- current position.

3. Wannabe f104. :)

4. Odd batch on the tail?

5. We think a Tigermeet paint preparation (sorry for the poor quality).

6. Overshoot, like they did many times that day.

7. Because of the many T/G's, practising some panning. Here 1/320s.

8. Beaten by a 1/125s :)

Huh, she doesn't seem to be airworthy, so this one is only for static display?! :? :cry:

She only misses an engine ;)

Not uncommen to be painted without engine is it?

J-222 has been withdrawn from use upon it's return from Tucson in 1995. As stated above, it has been an instructional aircraft at Volkel since then. It hasn't been flown or modified ever since. Basically, the only way it will fly again is under a Chinook or inside a transport-aircraft.

At least they are making an effort for the Tigermeet :respect: .

Nice photoreport you all. Looks like a busy day at Volkel indeed!

Mario, I like your first and last shot. Can you tell where these shots exactly are taken? Pretty long time ago that I visited Volkel for a day at the fence :oops:

Mario, wonderful shots, especially the close-ups of the F16's.
