March Field Museum (RIV) 16-06-2010 (Large post!)

Post by LifelinerOne »

Hello everybody!

it took me a while to finish editing the last photo's from my week in the US. On the 16th, after my adventure at Victorville, I decided to continue my tour past some other fields in California. I passed San Bernadino (no nice pictures could be made) and I also made time to visit the museum at March AFB. These are the pictures from the planes which are parked outside.

Underneath the KC-97 are some benches, which give you just enough height to photograph planes on the active runway of March AFB:

All in all a nice museum with some 50 planes parked outside.

Hope you liked them!

Looks like a great museum.

Very nice collection indeed.
Did you also see (and read) some of the TDY F-16s of the CA ANG?

Cheers,

What a difference. Been there 5 years ago an then the A-7 looked much better. At this rate the markings will be completely bleached of in a few years time.

Hi Melchior,

There were 4 F-16's in the circuit at that moment, constantly doing touch-and-go's. However, I didn't read them, as I'm not a numbercruncher (anymore). Heathwaves were also a pain in the a$$, so no pictures of them as well.

Cheers!
