Yep, backlit is the problem with the 27 'spottersplek'.
Don't there will be ever a spot for the 27 with the sun in your back.
But there some other spots to catch aircraft on approach to the 27.

You can park at Mc Donalds and walk about 10 minutes to stand on the bicyle way next to the N232. No problems with the KMAR, traffic or anyone else.
Saw lots of other people there, made someone's day who was about to leave when the Turkish A340 was only 20 minutes away. :)
No sun in front of my lens for the Turkish A340.

Just don't park near the crashgates on the 'loevesteinse randweg', or somewhere in the grass next to the roads there. Saw at least 6 cars doing that.
They were 'lucky' though, no patrols.

Well, if the sun is high and there are a bit of clouds it's no problem. In fact the shot of Sjaak of the Enter Air is great :respect: and the two Triples of Dimitri are also OK.

By the way, there is a time when the sun is OK for runway 27 and that is in high summer after 19.00hrs. And then the spot at M-D is really OK. Try it!

Bad luck you didn't have a pump for my bike. The pressure in my tires was a bit low.

My bad attempt of the same plane + moment you can find here.
The rest:

2.

3. New spot for me. I already knew this one for dep/arr 09/27 but also very nice for dep/arr 18R/C/36L/C. UA looks an A380 (to me:) )
Image

4. About shooting with back light (and F22 or so)

5.

6. What do you think about night shooting (in December or so) When a plane is just pulled to one of those places and the lights inside are still one the result would be wonderful. Only I have no money for a sufficient tripod :). Some other picture taken from same place you can find here.
