Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

First of all, congratulations for you're achievement;

- But don't you mean 4th of May instead of February?
- A hint for you're photos; try a other side on the RWY to minimize the counterlight on you're photos

Hurricane

You must be the dude with the greenish jacket and glasses and krullebol? You ran like hell when the planes started coming in again... Congrats with your first spot. Next time take your time and relax, set your camera, and start shooting. Cause this really doesn't look good, and the weather was splendid.

What camera did you use?

That ain't an excuse. You're equipment is very capable of producing excelent shots. You just need some more experience with both the shoting part and the editing part. But for a first time it aint thet bad.

With the kind of weather like today, set your camera in Tv, look for a shutterspeed thats a bit higher to get the sharpest pics possible and thus eliminating unsharpness due to movement (+-1/640 until 1/1000ste), Ai servo focus, so you don't have to push the release-button 67 times while following the plane in your viewfinder. Never mind the Av casue it will not be an extreme value with your lens. Middle focus point only, (wonder if it's on your camera) Oh, and over expose 1/3 or 2/3. White balance you can check later in Photoshop, or just put in on manual and take a picture of a white something and switch to custom WB.

That should make things a bit better.. Good luck!
