Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Sunny Warton 22 April

Post by Thijs »

While some Dutchies were suffering up the hills somewhere at a remote place in Wales, we were enjoying the sun at Warton. Highlight of this day, the sound of the GR4. It has a tuned engine which makes a very distinctive sound, it is almost like whistling. All the GR4 has to get those tuned engines! Maybe Melchior can post the video of the flyby.

Those two went up to do some testing with three typhoons.

Nice pics (but unfortunately out of focus).

Wow...nice sound!! Somehow reminds me back to the 104 :good:

@ Thijs
All the GR4 has to get those tuned engines!
Do you mean this is some kind of experimental engine for future use within the RAF-fleet, or were you just expressing it as a wish?

CHeers,
