JPO Bordeaux Mérignac

Post by sud-ouest spotters »

Hi all,

There was a small JPO at Mérignac this weekend. Here some shots from yesterday. Hope you like them.

Some photos of the CAEA planes that were on display outside. Too bad that they kept the Iraqi Mirage F1BQ inside.

What's with the Magister 'ER', looks like a weatherworn camouflage pattern??

Nice log by the way!

Is it not the ex-Cameroon AF aircraft (never delivered)?

Yes, it is. And also a nice "meant to be Iraqi" Mirage F.1 as well!

Hi Stephan and Melchior, it's indeed one of the Cameroon AF Magisters that was never delivered. There used to be five of them at Mérignac. They were parked at the IMA (Ingénierie et Maintenance Aéronautique), next to the Air Inter plane and later they were in between the stored planes across from the IMA. If I remember correctly, the "320" in one of the pictures is also an "ex-Cameroon" Magister. And as Patrick said, the "Iraqi F1BQ" was never delivered either.
