Skytech on the move

Post by Shirley »

Hi all,

Coming back from Madrid we landed at Charleroi and saw the Skytech Mi-26's on trucks. Wanting to get back home as fast as possible after a long weekend away we had to wait for the 2 helo's to be moved by road. Here are they just after passing the first roundabout:

Hi,

Below a message I received about the MI 26T at Charleroi..
In fact there are 3 x MI 26T in Belgium :

- 2 in EBCI (Charleroi) registered RA06032 & RA06041
- 1 in EBLG (Liege) registered RA06021

All are scheduled to the manufacturer Rostvertol to be overhauled and
upgraded to T2S standard in order to be ready for the next fire fighting
season 09.

Best regards,

Mark

I can't imagine them to be transported by road this way all the way to Russia. I think they are to high to fit under bridges. Maybe the will be loaded on a ship ?

Does anyone have more information about this transport ?
