AMARG, last august

Post by Tomcat01 »

I visited Amarg last august, i think it is one of the places to go when visiting the us. Together with Pima museum you'll find a very substantial part of Americas military aviation past. From the museum you can take the Amargtour twice a day. It lasts for about 1,5 hour and takes you in a bus to the storagefascility. You are not allowed outside the bus and there are no windows that can be opened so you have to be very careful when taking photos because of the reflections. It's a pity they don't have the big saturday Amarctours anymore wich lasted 3 hours and allowed you to get outof the bus.
Well, i think it's still worthwhile. Here are some of my shots, starting with my favorite, the F-4 Phantom
Hope you enjoy them

Grtz,

Hans

Great photos Hans, I had no idea this can be done from a closed bus. Good job.

Hiya all,

nice pics indeed... !!! Think the Korean is a nice one indeed, good find.

Question though: how many C-21's (Learjets) can you confirm as present ?

Best regards,

Had a spare hour just now, so dug up this one. Taken four years ago in South Korea.

If I remember correctly, that used to be a FLIR-pod. No idea which type or what the designation is/was though.
