Stansted 12/13 July mil+gvmt

Stansted 12/13 July mil+gvmt

Despite being a civil airport with mainly Ryanair and Easyjet aircraft there were some nice military and government aircraft present at the old terminal area.

let's start with a United Arab Emirates 747 which was parked next to the Diamond Hangar at Saturday, on Sunday it could be found at the other side of the airport.

Also a 737 was present.

A large Oman contingent could be found here, next to the below A330 and 747 a Gulfstream was present.

Highlight were the two (almost brand new) USAF vippers.

Assume makes an ASS of U and ME.

Very nice Thijs. Was quite surprised to see them after landing at Stansted myself. Do you have an ID for the UAE 747? Also which of the Gulfstreams you mentioned was the one parked near the Omani 747?

Looking at Civil Movements Elsewhere in a few issues of Scramble would take away many surprises upon landing at certain airfields. 8)

A40-AB was parked at Harrods Aviation while A40-AC (not seen by us) was parked between the A40-AB and the Omani B747.

Thanks Melchior. However I have no idea where 'Harrods Aviation' is. The Gulf I saw was rather close to the 747 and was pointing towards the runway if that helps?

PS. On departure from Stansted yesterday afternoon (17:00lt) there was another UAE 747 parked, anyone for an ID?
