SRZ ''Ede'' 20-05-2008

Another try with the Diablo Challenge exercise today at the Special Rules Zone Edese Heide.

Just afte two o'clock no less than FIVE Apaches turned up. One at FL050 while the others spreaded over the area at about 1500feet. Followed by two Cougars en one Chinook of which the latter went into the holding area until the LZ was cleared. At that point the transport dropped the platoon and all hell broke loose. Two times F-16's gave air cover while the Apaches took care of all CCA. Before all were picked up at the end of the afternoon one Cougar proceeded with a CasEvac. Unfortunately the Chinook went tech so only the Cougars returned just at 17:30 local.

Opposing forces were played by a graduation class of ..... PC-7 pilots. While waiting to go to the US they had not much to do, exept this. Also the keep them rolling brigade lent some vehicles and oldtimers to drive them

Do you perhaps know which 2 AS.532 and 4 x AH-64D's left back to Gilze at aprox 17:30? Saw them passing the Betuwe at 17:40.

Hallo,

AS445 staan)
