You better! The Trojan will be there for a few more weeks, I guess. It landed there sometime in april with "high temp, low oilpressure" indications. A replacement engine would be litteraly shipped over here, according the "hafenmeister"

While talking about Leer; how is the situation there regarding spotting? I will pass the airfield next week and thought of not visiting due to lack of time, but if the T-28 is there and the based Putzer Elster can be seen (did you see this by the way?) it should be worth it after all.....
Thanks in advance!

The people at Leer-Papenburg are realy kind. When You pass the airfield over the Motorway A31 take exit 'Leer Nord' and go at the end of the exit left. It's just about 500mtrs from there at Your left.
It isn't realy a big airfield, You will be surprised about the small approach to the airfield, but there is some interesting traffic like the mentioned T-28B N228AC 'Navy VT-5 140025'

some photo's taken in the past at this airfield:

Tip: before You return to the A31: go to the shopping Mall Familia for fuel, last week 1 ltr. Super was 1.409 euros
