Could someone tell me which twoship 311 F-16's landed somewhere between 1400 and 1500? They carried two external tanks and also made a flypast over Rhenen.

Someone has to do the dirty work m8 .. :lol: But this doesn't hold you back though to post some of yours. I'm still curious, eventhough we probably took the same pics (as usual ... ).

@SquAdmin: If I remember correctly those 2 were J015 and J017.

Hi Mike,

could you please check this? On the pics I see the J-017 without external tanks. Of course I might have spotted this incorrectly... :?

I probably didn't remember correctly then ...

Also around 14.30 hrs 2 311 Vipers came in, one of them being J008. I didn't read the other one ... so maybe it were these 2. Sorry ...

Patrick,

How did you see they were 311, due to the badges on the tail? If they were black/brown/white, they were the J-015 (clean configuration) and J-017 (with an ECM? pod)

The other two ship were the J-008 (blue/white badge) and J-653 (312 badge) as my pics are showing.

Hi Remco,

I didn't see the badges but they performed a flypast for the wedding of a friend (and occasional forum member), who had arranged this with 311 sq. Of course it's very good possible that the aircraft they used didn't carry 311 badges. They flew over Rhenen at 14:20 so the 14:30 flight that Mike mentioned sounds likely, especially because I saw your pictures of J-008 and 653 with two external tanks.

Patrick, if I remember it correctly (don't write numbers or record callsigns) the J-008 and J-653 flew with a Sting Callsign (311sqn) and the J-015 and J-017 flew with a metal callsign (313sqn). Mike, can you confirm this?

I'm sorry Remko, can't confirm or deny. I don't listen to scanners, but ... my buddy Niels did. Do maybe he rememberd something.

This is what I picked up from the SGV messageboard ...:
NM 5x F-16 J-653 021 008 015 017 "METAL21,22" en "FIST21-23"
