Excellent pictures from both of you.

Do I add my selection here or do I start a new post?

I think you guys may have been a little unlucky last week,not only with the weather but also with the amount of movements. I was there yesterday and today and it was almost non-stop action.

Visitors yesterday included a DAF C130J,2xMarham Tornado and 2xRN Jetsreams in addition to the Saudi's of course. I only spent a short time there today but saw 3xSaudi's launch,1x100Sqn Hawk,1xETPS Hawk in the Raspberry Ripple scheme and 2x Harrier GR7s in addition to numerous based aircraft 2 of which were carrying Brimstone missiles.

That's one long drive you took, Frank!
I flew to and from Prestwick on Transavia and rented a car to drive to Lossie and back...
Shame about the weather you guys had. Nice shots though! It seems the Monday 3 September was one of the few good weather days after all.

Hi Hans

It was quite a long drive, but it was worth it! Had a good time there, despite the weather. I envy you because of your sunny shots though. Look very good indeed !

Thanks !

Report on Saudi Tornado

Post by R. Stalenhoef »

Luckily we were also in the position to go to Lossiemouth to see the "second" deployment of the year next to the Indians, what a great year for military aviation, especially for England!

A report on this deployment can we found at http://www.3greens.nl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This deployment was in SCOTLAND not England! A bit like saying a deployment is in Belgium when in fact it was in Holland! :D

It hasn't been the best of years for weather but we have had the German F4's in April/May,the Saudi's just finishing and also a nice couple of exercises to come.
