Glad to hear you like the photos. Those Saudi birds were something else-- Lantirn and Snipr pods, plus the built in IRST pod; radar warning receivers under the canopy rails, AESA radar-- it's no wonder the USAF bought some F-15EXs for themselves. Back in March in the RF 22-2 spotting thread there was some discussion of the FMS serials for these jets. I was looking and couldn't find any, aside from the WS OX on the tail. Turns out the FMS serial is on the left intake. I went back and looked, and I can see writing there, but still can't read the numbers themselves. The jets got pretty close too, this one was on a Runway 3 recovery, my Nikon D500 EXIF says the focal range was only 200mm, and I STILL can't read the numbers.
The Draken Mirages were launching late in the afternoon, between 6 and 7pm. They went up with 8-12 F-35s, a mix of OT and WA tails, and some F-22s. Normally I'm pretty burned out by that time( ie, headed back to the hotel), but some Euro friends I met on Monday were regaling me with stories of amazing golden hour light and flex take offs from the Speedway. So, on Tuesday I joined them, and they were right-- crazy good lighting.
