Short Spain trip. Day 5, the final day :-( 12-10-14. (Pics)

Post by stipjes »

Yesterday evening MLB and I left Holland for a short trip to Spain. The goal is to photograph FAMET UH-1's and CH-47's, Mirage F1's and an AdE Casa.212 and F-5M (taxi) and a AAdlA Sea King at the Torrejon Airshow (plus the rest :-)).
Today we visited Colmenar Viejo, I never visited it before. We did not expect to much but the day turned out to be great. The sun was on holiday but that did not matter to much. Especially after a few EWAS friends arranged a small unexpected based visit.
Hope you like the pics, quick photoshop on my old laptop makes the pics a bit off colour (brown) may-be.

He Hans, Jeppum, tis de ET279.

Short Spain trip. Day two, TLP Albacete (Pics)

Jep, we saw 8 Arnold... Was a nice day! Today was better! A new best friend arranged a base visit at Albacete, we saw 125 a/c in total! In the Morning a few Typhoons flew sortie and around 15.00 LT TLP took off. The first transport a/c also arrived (2 THK C-160's and a Lw, a HAF C-130 and a THK KC-135). These are the results after some quick editing:

He Pieter, the 2 F1's stand stored at the end of the factory platform, a few hundred meters further then lhe rows of f1's (you can see some tails above the fuselage).

Short Spain trip. Day 3, Torrejon "arrivals" (Pics)

Post by stipjes »

Today we visited the spotters day at Torrejon. The weather sucked very much in the morning and a little in the afternoon. There was a lot of rain but by three the sun showed up. After all we were able to take some nice pics:

Short Spain trip. Day 4, Torrejon AirShow 11-10-14. (Pics)

Post by stipjes »

Today was another (unexpected) nice day! There was rain, Sunshine and a lot of clouds but with a little patience things turned out great. The big surprise was the P-3A that showed up! I don't know if there are any others still flying.... (expect the Pax River ones).... After the show we drove to some wrecks and tried Colmenar Viego again, the result was 4 new Chinooks!
Tomorrow is our last day, the wish list is completed so we will see what happens. Does anyone know from where the parade a/c will be flying?

Here are the quickly shopped pics, I tried to put in the new types we saw today:
