USA trip Part IV Luke AFB

Post by joan le poole »

Hello all,

Next part of our trip was a day at Luke AFB. Because there are around 200 F-16s on this airbase, there is a lot of flight activity. We saw 40 F-16s or so!

Some of my photos

1. This is not a regular USAF F-16, but it's a Singaporean one :)

2. We got a visitor

3. Some of the aircraft we saw, needed some painting.

4. This Viper from Tucson came along a F-16 of Luke to fly some circuits
Image

5. This was my first F-16 of the Republic of Singapore Air Force. Unfortunately they fly very close circuits.

6. This is one of the 2 special tails which are based on Luke

7. And this is the other one

8. Lots of landings are flown holding hands

10. And a last one

Thanks for watching! Next 2 and last parts will show a day filled with AMARG, Tucson en Davis Monthan and day spend on Mesa Gateway.

The AZ coded F-16 was most likely a recent transfer to the 62nd FS and still had to be repainted..

I am very happy with that 2 special tails, you can imagine.
Bjorn, I don't think so because this one didn't land. It did some T%Gs and Low Approaches.

I assume that this is the southern approach of Luke AFB? I haven't seen them turning in so tight over Northern Ave?
