Nice! I gather you had a visit to the barracks, but is it also possible to see this one from outside?

I'm currently working in those barracks, you sadly can't see it from outside, it's stored between some buildings right in the middle.

Oh no! It's sad to see this one in such a bad condition. I made this pic of it in 2010.

That's a shame to see it in that condition. Was it previously displayed on base?

I think so, the engine intake and exhaust section is closed by a thick wooden plate so I guess it was standing somewhere as a gate guard before it came here. Btw I posted these pictures on FB yesterday and a guy came up to me wanted to know if its possible to "buy" the G91, I said I will take care of that as soon as Im back in Business, his father flew the Gina and he wants to build up a complete simulator with the front section.

It used to be (pole-mounted I think) inside a side gate, easily visible from outside.
I saw it back in 2001.

The only stuff that's standing around in the barracks nowadays are one tornado, one phantom and a Bell UH-1D, I guess they forgot about the Gina :(

There's also a AJet preserved on a pole at the main gate at Cologne Bonn Barracks!! And Andy is right with his info about the Gina. She was preserved on a pole near the officers' mess till at least 2007 when she was hit by storm Kyrill!!!

Oh yeah I forgot about the alpha jet, thanks for the info about the Gina, I didn't knew what happened to her and nobody could tell me why she was laying there.

Just some add info: We also have a F-104 preserved on a pole near LwFüKdo building. There was another one "fake coded" BB+374 which also was hit by Kyrill. It was laying near the POL for years, but it seemed that this was left Cologne, already!

The F-104 is 23+98 , I already looked it up in the database and it's up to date that's why I haven't mentioned it in here, it's in a pretty good shape though.
